For international brands, traveling across borders to participate in global trade exhibitions like THAIFEX - Anuga Asia often introduces major obstacles in logistics management, budget control, and maintaining international brand standards. For this edition of the event, Kokola—a leading global biscuit and cookie manufacturer from Indonesia with a rich 40-year heritage—faced these exact challenges. To ensure a seamless experience.

Smile Exhibit was entrusted with the end-to-end structural management of their original custom wooden booth. Our comprehensive responsibilities spanned from delicate dismantle and factory storage to precise on-site refinishing and reassembly, ultimately delivering a pristine, high-performance corporate pavilion.

To offer maximum convenience to our international partner while restoring the pavilion to a factory-fresh condition, our team executed the project through three primary workflows:

1. Long-Term Premium Structural Preservation

The baseline for successful structural reuse begins immediately after the conclusion of the previous exhibition. The Smile Exhibit crew systematically dismantled and wrapped every wooden component in specialized protective layers before transporting them to our manufacturing facility. By storing the assets in a temperature-controlled environment, we prevented the timber from warping, expanding, or absorbing moisture over time. This backend service completely eliminated the logistics burden for our overseas partner, saving them from the high costs and stress of international freight shipping.

2. Precision Surface Preparation & Industrial Spray Refinishing

During the reassembly phase, pre-existing wooden panels naturally show minor surface wear or abrasions caused by handling and transit. To address this, our master carpenters thoroughly audited every panel, performing targeted joint-patching, timber repair, and detailed manual hand-sanding to create a perfectly uniform, level surface. We then applied a high-grade industrial spray finish alongside precise manual recoating across the entire structure. Despite the technical challenges of executing spray finishes within a brief setup window on a busy convention floor, our team achieved an ultra-smooth, seamless texture that restored the brand’s vibrant Corporate Identity.

3. Structural Reassembly & Comprehensive Safety Audits

Reintegrating pre-built wooden structural components requires a much higher level of precision regarding alignments and fittings than working with raw timber. Our on-site installers and field engineers tightly controlled the alignment of the custom overhead canopies, wall partitions, and internal spaces. Every interlocking connection and anchoring mechanism was double-checked and reinforced, ensuring that the entire structure remained completely rigid, stable, and 100% safe throughout the multi-day international trade event.
