Building a 90 sqm booth for SB SUNBO @Gastech 2026, from the brand's own exhibition booth

Gastech 2026 is an international trade show for the gas and energy industry. In 2026 it ran from 14 to 17 September at BITEC in Bangkok, with more than 800 exhibitors and over 50,000 attendees.
 

Our booth belonged to a South Korean maker of gas systems for ships. It measured 15 × 6 metres and stood 4 metres high. The brand sent us its design, and Smile Exhibit produced and installed it, ready for the show.

 

 

The brief: a booth that works

The brand wanted more than a good-looking space. It needed a place to do business at the show: a welcome point, rooms for private meetings, a stage for its equipment models and a large screen to tell the company's story. A visitor should walk up and understand within seconds who the brand is and what it does.
 

 

 

From 3D design to the show floor

We started by pricing from the 3D renders and the information the brand sent, which was not yet complete. We went back with questions about the LED screen size, the flooring and a few details that would be hard to build, then adjusted so the design could be made in the time available.

 

 

What visitors see

From the aisle, visitors meet a rounded entrance frame in a soft timber tone with deep blue accents. The front wall makes clear what the brand offers. Inside there is a welcome bar, an LED wall at the corner of the booth, lit plinths for the equipment models and two glass-fronted meeting rooms for conversations that need privacy.

The taglines on the walls, such as "Powering the Future at Sea", are the brand's own. Our job was to make them read clearly on the real booth. Gastech 2026


 

 

Building against the clock

Trade shows offer limited setup time, so we prepare as many pieces as possible at the factory to maximize on-site installation within just two days. This allows brands ample time to set up models and equipment within the venue before the event without rushing.

 

 

What this project shows about Smile Exhibit

Smile can take a design from an international brand and build it in Thailand from structure and graphics to LED screens, display plinths, meeting rooms and lighting. We also tell the brand early what can and cannot be built, before work starts. 

Smile Exhibit built and installed a 90 sqm (15 × 6 m), 4 m high exhibition booth for a South Korean marine gas-systems manufacturer at Gastech 2026, held 14–17 September at BITEC, Bangkok. Working from the brand's own 3D design, the team produced the entrance frame, LED wall, display plinths, meeting rooms and lighting.
