Building a 54 sqm booth for a Korean composite hose maker at Gastech 2026

Gastech is an international trade show for the gas and energy industry. In 2026 it took place at BITEC in Bangkok, from 14 to 17 September. Alongside SB SUNBO, we built a second booth for another South Korean exhibitor, Sangbong Corporation.
Sangbong makes flexible composite hoses under the DolphinFlex brand, used for LNG transfer. The booth is 6 × 9 metres with two open sides. The brand's design team in Korea sent us the full drawing set, and Smile Exhibit produced and installed the booth in Thailand.

The brief: show a product that photos can't explain
Visitors at Gastech don't only compare booths. They look for who makes what. A hose is hard to explain in a picture, so the booth had to do three jobs at once: tell visitors who Sangbong is, put real product samples in front of them, and give the sales team somewhere to sit and talk.

From drawings to a built booth
The brand supplied a complete set: floor plan, electrical plan, elevations and details for the entrance gate, display area, storage room and pillar. Our job was to turn those drawings into parts that could be made and assembled on site. The organiser also asked for the booth drawings to be submitted for approval before construction started.

What visitors see
From the aisle, a tall white pillar carrying the SANGBONG CORPORATION logo stands on the right. On the left, a white and blue pillar and a curved fascia carry a blue light line along the edge. The fascia text reads "World Class Composite Hose Maker" and "LNG Ship to Ship Transfer Bunkering Hose".
At the entrance on the right, two DolphinFlex hose samples, one red and one white, stand in a lit niche so visitors can see the product up close. On the left is a display plinth for the Bunkering Saddle, in Portable and Fixed versions. At the back, a light wood-tone wall holds a large LED screen and product graphics, with high tables and stools for meetings. A counter with a violet glowing front sits near the entrance, with a brochure rack beside it.

Working with a short build window
Trade shows allow little time on site, so parts were made in our workshop first and assembled at BITEC.

What this project shows about Smile Exhibit
Smile can take a finished design from a foreign brand and build it in Thailand: structure, graphics, lighting, LED and display plinths.
